- Ozymandias Cody has achieved a certain level of worthiness: he knows now that Card, Zydeco and Petrus are all members of the Order of Hermes. Farrel bani Thig helped Dr. Priya Ganesh design and build the car. Zydeco bani Janissary is the brawn. The man who killed Card is a Nephandus by the name of Reginald Wojcik. He and Petrus studied together in a strange never-land called Doisstep. Cody seems to be Zydeco's default partner now.[1]

- Dr. Winston Brown speaks with Ea, father of Marduk, today. Ea tells Brown about ancient Babylon. Brown asks to be introduced to Siduri, the barmaid-goddess, but Ea declines.[2]

- Max Mercer establishes the Æon Society for Gentlemen in Chicago. It serves as a worldwide coordinating office for Inspired adventurers and investigators of the paranormal, in furtherance of its larger goal — Mercer's drive to discover humanity's true potential, and to break down any obstacles in the way. Its seven charter members are Mercer himself, Primoris, Whitley Styles, Professor Dixon, Safari Jack, Crackshot, and Danger Ace.[3][4][5]
