John Trent was the Alastor that destroyed and diablerized Petaniqua and followed her on the Red List immediately afterwards. He is prone to carve various glyphs and runes of various cultures and mythological backgrounds into his flesh in fits of near delusional fear of the looming Gehenna.

Biography[]

John Trent's Embrace was an act of defiance against his superiors, an act that resulted in his sire's Final Death by order of the Tremere Inner Council. Trent had a hard time proving himself to his clan, first in his chantry in France, and later when he defied the traditional ways of Thaumaturgy, firmly believing in the superiority of science and evolution, disregarding vampiric mythology as a pile of rubbish. He was sent to Washington, D.C. where his inquisitive mind was hoped to work against the Sabbat instead of clan structures. His way, however, led him cross the path of the Anathema Petaniqua that was vanquished by his hand. This led to his sudden rise in status as one of the Red Alastors, despite his inexperience in political matters. He tried to avoid the politics as well as he could, but was captured by a coven of demon-worshippers that broke something within him when they showed him the existence of malevolent forces behind the horizon of science. After he managed to escape, he declared himself Autarkis, refusing to have any part with Cainite politics any longer, instead dedicating himself to prepare himself for the doom that would eventual fall on the Earth. In the meantime, rumors reached the Camarilla Inner Circle that Trent had secretly diablerized Petaniqua, placing him on the Red List and the enmity of various Alastors that began to hunt him in order prove their worth.
