John Bedford, currently soulless, is the founder of the occult organization the Bedford Hermetic Coalition.[1]

Overview[]

John Bedford

A small-time occultist within the Hermetic Society of the Golden Dawn, Bedford's writings were largely ignored until 1995, when, after ten years of writing, he published the thousand-page Tablet of Universal Hermetic Theory as Applied to a Map of Existence.[1] Though rather poorly written and having sold only three hundred copies, the publication nonetheless netted Bedford the attention of several individuals who had come to the same conclusions that he had delineated in his work — That humans simultaneously live within four overlapping worlds simultaneously: the Spiritual, Mental, Astral, and Physical.[1]

Bedford and these individuals maintained correspondence with one another, looking into means by which they could contact and manipulate angels and demons, eventually stumbling upon the idea of separating one's soul from the rest of the self, entering the Astral World without interference from the other worlds.[2]

In 1997, the entirety of the Coalition attempted a ritual to put their theories into practice. None succeeded, bar Bedford himself, who fell into a coma, soulless, and has remained so since.[2]
