Jim Townsend is a computer programmer and co-creator of Blood Pit, a text-based play-by-mail gladiatorial combat game. He joined White Wolf when the company acquired Blood Pit, and ran the game on White Wolf's servers. He also wrote a regular column on play-by-mail games for White Wolf magazine. In 1994, Jim left White Wolf, and Blood Pit was sold to another company.
