Ji Wen Ja (吉文傑) is an old street "fortune teller" who runs a table outside the Temple of Golden Virtue in Los Angeles' Chinatown. His fortunes are somewhat lacking in specificity and import: "That guy you work with... yeah, he take all credit for your idea."
In his youth, he used to be a hitman for the local Tong, along with his friend Lu Fang. The two were needed to take down a Chinese government official, which paid well, and they put their combined winnings in a safe with two keys. Not long after, they had a falling out.
Now, he needs the money, but doesn't want to risk exposing himself to Lu Fang.
Quests[]
- The Hitman Impasse
Background Information[]
- Assuming Lu Fang's escalating offers of 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80% are accurate, the sealed fortune the two hitmen is fighting over is $1200.
- Interestingly, Ji Wen Ja seems to be bad at math. His escalating offers of 10%, 30%, 50%, and 70% are legitimate, but his final offer of an 80% share will actually net an 83.3% share: $1000 rather than $960.
