Jeremiah Moorcock was the director of Bishopsgate Hospital from 1954 to 1973. He currently is one of the ghosts making up the Board of Directors.

Overview

Formerly the assistant to Doctor Thomas Werner, when he retired, Moorcock took over management at the behest of the Board of Trustees. After Werner died of a heart attack, Moorcock returned Bishopsgate to use as an asylum for the insane.

An avid proponent of psychosurgery, under Moorcock's management, the asylum performed over 500 prefrontal and transorbital lobotomies, over which time fifty-four individuals died. Unsurprisingly, this made the man a hated figure among patients, to the point that, in 1973, an unknown individual managed to strap Moorcock down and lobotomize him. Due to a vastly changed temperament, he was quietly shuffled off to a facility in Washington.

At some point, Moorcock died and became a ghost, returning to Bishopsgate due to its spiritual pull.
