Jasper Covington was a Homid Child of Gaia who lived at the start of the Enlightenment.
Biography[]
He was born to Kinfolk of the tribe who were English nobility. His parents taught him that warfare was the least effective way to create change, and he lost interest in combat. Instead, he used his family's vast wealth to bring the best minds of the age together for parties, and there helped to teach them "enlightened" Gaian wisdom, although he never took credit for their ideas and publicly insisted he was nothing but a gracious host. He helped spur a rise in Deism, reverence for nature, the rights of man, and the place of pleasure as the basis for goodness. He also helped slow the genocide against the Native Americans by elevating the "natural man". One of his greatest successes was spurring a neo-Classical revival that borrowed from Gaian ideals in ancient Greece, and conveniently left out the Wyrm-inspired ideals of the Classic world. He acted as impresario and chief marketer for the Age of Enlightenment, which in turn created democratic governments and freedom movements.[1][2]
