- The Aberrants return, attacking Research Outpost Vesta just beyond Saturn. The viciousness of their attack is matched only by the degree to which they've mutated in the last 40 years.[4][5][6][7] Shortly afterwards, Mars becomes a target for attacks.[8] Other intrasolar colonies are attacked throughout the year.[9]
