The Isle of Sorrows is a rocky island located at the delta of the River of Death, deep in the Tempest. It serves as the base of Stygia, capital city of the Dark Kingdom of Iron. It is surrounded by the Sea of Souls, which serves as the island and city's main barrier against threats from the Sunless Sea and Tempest. Major features of the Isle of Sorrows include the seven hills on which the bulk of Stygia is built, and the Weeping Bay, where Charon's infamous battle with Gorool took place. There are also bridges from the Isle to the nearby Iron Hills, the smaller islands that serve as overflow residences for the population of Stygia.
