Ile-Titu (ee-LEH tee-TOO) is a praise name for the Orisha Sonponno. It has become an Elegbara, or Eshu, slang term for those of European descent as it literally translates to "of cold ground" and Sonponno is the orisha of disease, which ran rampant during the early days of contact with the white folk.
