House Janissary

History

Early History

Dark Ages

  • The Ksirafai
  • 1716: Ksirafai "defeat" themselves and ask admittance as House Janissary

Shortly after the foundation of the House, Founder Dincer Albayrak selected a replacement, a young Bedouin by the name of Caeron Mustai. Unfortunately, Mustai had already been trained by the Ahl-i-Batin. Combining the knowledge of the Batini and the Ixoi, Mustai realized that Armageddon and Ascension were one and the same. If preventing Armageddon meant turning away from Ascension, so be it.

Thus House Janissary turned away from its original purpose, and encouraged both inter-House (blinding the Order to the corruption of the Consanguinity of Eternal Joy) and inter-Tradition conflict (preventing the Golden Chalice from realizing anything was amiss).

End Times

Eventually, House Janissary contributed to the political warfare-turned-deadly which destroyed Doissetep and some of the great Masters of the Order, in 1997. Mustai himself was responsible for the death of Porthos Fitz-Empress, dying himself in the process.

Not long afterwards, the Golden Chalice uncovered the truth about House Janissary's history and itssecret dealings, and purged the house from the Order.
