Himilcar the Pale is referred to as the last Monarch of Carthage.

Biography[]

Carthage will last when Rome returns to nothing but a pile of river mud, and we will shake these would-be conquerors off like a dog shakes fleas. Never give up! Never surrender!
  —  Himilcar, shortly before his Final Death

Little is known about Himilcar, except that he ruled in waning nights of Carthage, around 146 BCE. The exact extent of his authority within the city (which according to scriptures also contained the Brujah Antediluvian Troile), is unknown as is his relationship with Troile.

According to Brujah elders, Himilcar was a coward and a weakling. Documents indicate that he had trouble containing the Baali and the teachings of Tanitbaal-Sahar in his city, which resulted in even trusted agents turning against him, seeing the rituals of the Baali as better alternatives to preserving their city.

Before the final assault on Carthage, he gave an impassioned speech of resistance against the Roman invaders – only to be pierced by a flaming arrow after finishing. He apparently crumbled to ash immediately.
