Hardestadt the Younger masquerades as his sire, Hardestadt the Elder, since his death and probable Diablerie under the fangs of Tyler. This is known to only very few Ventrue. One vampire who learned the truth centuries later was the Gangrel researcher Beckett. In fear of being exposed, Hardestadt hired assassins to silence Beckett, but none were successful.

- In 1493, Hardestadt proposes a meeting between his troops and the Anarch at Thorns.
- In 1723, Jan Pieterzoon receives the Embrace of Hardestadt.
On the eve of Gehenna Hardestadt met Final Death when he was killed by the recently rogue ex-archon Theo Bell, who shot him point blank in the face with his automatic shotgun while Hardestadt was suffering from the effects of the withering. Hardestadt was running a slave operation in which he was using neonites to stop the effects of the withering and breaking many camarilla traditions in doing so. Bell refuses to go along and teams with Lucita, Beckett, and others to take down Hardestadt and his plot.
