Gwendolyn Fleming

Gwendolyn Fleming is one of the few Kindred that voluntarily remained in Hong Kong after 1997. She once resided on Victoria Peak.

Biography

Gwendolyn pursued music at a time when such acts were considered flippant for woman. She would attend concerts and cultural events with her parents while living in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was ambitious enough to want to be a performer and a composer.

She soon came to the attention of one Malcolm McClure, Lord Blackloch. She was magnetically drawn to him and demonstrated her great talent in the harpsichord and piano. Then one final evening, Lord Blackloch offered the gift of eternal life and Gwendolyn accepted and was opened to the world of the Kindred and Toreador society.

They traveled together extensively through England and Europe and then at the beginning of the 20th century, they had made their way to Hong Kong where Malcolm had connections.

While Malcolm hated the city and in fact the whole "barbaric Far East", Gwendolyn found herself enraptured. When Malcolm announced he would be leaving she informed him she was going to stay. He returned to Europe and she made her way up the social ladder to become one of the lionesses of the city.

Appearance

Gwendolyn is a slender, breathtakingly beautiful young woman apparently in her early 20s. She dresses in the latest fashions from Europe, though she has developed a taste for Asian jewelry (particularly jade) and often wears jade earrings or bangles. Lustrous curls and chestnut colored hair frame her heart shaped face and draw attention to her pale green eyes. Her presence in a room always commands attention.
