Biography[]
Guides-to-Truth was born in the Badlands of North Dakota, near a Sioux reservation. When food became scarce, his pack traveled close to Bismarck to find scraps to eat. Guides studied the humans in their city and was confused and disgusted by what he witnessed.
His First Change occurred while on one such expedition. His pack was foraging neat the city, and Guides stopped to drink from a pool. As he gazed into the water, he saw the moon reflected on the water's surface. Startled, he found the world that he was accustomed to had changed. Odd creatures stared at him; his pack had vanished.
Guides bristled with feat as the odd creatures advanced toward him. As they did, he instinctively grew larger, stronger. A few of the creatures paused; some even backed away. Guides-to-Truth found himself in a form similar to that of the men he had seen, only taller and prouder. He lashed out at the creatures that dared to remain where they stood, and a brief battle began. He was able to destroy many of the things; the rest fled. As Guides-to-Truth began changing back to natural shape, he felt his surroundings change again. He had returned to the world he knew; his pack stared at him, full of questions that he couldn't answer.
Days later, three men from the nearby Sioux reservation were spotted tracking the pack as it hunted. Two nights after that, three strange wolves seemed to follow the pack. Guides waited for the wolves and sensed their difference from his packmates. The wolves explained that they, like him, were Garou and were there to teach him of his heritage. Guides was reluctant at first, but the three finally convinced him to join them. He was put through his Rite of Passage, taught the ways of the Garou and quickly learned the ways of the Umbra.
The spirit realm and its inhabitants have become a source of fascination for Guides-to-Truth. Few Garou have traveled the Umbra as extensively as Guides-to-Truth. He spends a great deal of time communicating with and learning from spirits. The spirit-knowledge that he has acquired and shared with other Garou is not always pleasant or sought after, but always profound.

In Homid form, Guides-to-Truth is an average-sized Native American man, with reddish-black hair and large black eyes. His Lupus form is a black wolf with strong red hues and dark eyes.
