A Guardian Fiend is a demon summoned for the purpose of protecting a person or thing.

Generally smaller in stature than other akathartoi, these fiends often come from the ranks of the Dominions, and their names tend to be rather easily discovered. Despite their purpose, guardian fiends are just as deceitful as any other, and require the same sorts of precautions on the part of the summoner.
Maintaining the Pact between guardian and summoner requires a minor sacrifice each week.
The forms of these demons are mutable, though canines and imps are both fairly common. The only defining feature they necessarily share are black, pupilless eyes.

Malapraxis: Guardians encourage their masters to "acquire" ever more valuable possessions and wait just long enough before materializing for thieves to think they've succeeded. The Guardian Fiend's Malapraxis is Greed through Theft and Hoarding.

- Regenerate: The demon can use Essence to regenerate Corpus, focusing on less serious injuries first. There is no dice pool for this Numen. Aggravated damage must be healed normally.
- Watchdog: By spending Essence, the demon can learn the general state of its surroundings in the area it's obliged to protect. Each additional success beyond the first increases the radius of awareness and increases the detail of information learned. The Numen lasts as long as the demon remains in the trance, but it is unaware of and cannot react to the outside world, nor can it relay its findings while the Numen is active.
