The Great Library is the home of the Methuselah Necross and his Nosferatu allies. It is one of the largest repositories of occult knowledge on the North American continent and is hidden beneath Vancouver.
Overview[]
The Great Library lies hidden within the tunnel network of the Nosferatu of Vancouver, accessible only via a hidden passageway in the Lamplighter Pub in Gastown, the original site of the city. The library itself lies behind large iron doors deep in the labyrinth of the tunnels, guarded all the time by the Nosferatu.
The Library began as the brainchild of Necross, who gathered several allies among the Clan of the Hidden to create a single large gathering of knowledge far away from the machinations of the Jyhad. Ancient scrolls from all over the world were gathered and placed here under under protection. The Library is run conjointly between Necross and his Nosferatu allies. One of the Nosferatu is chosen as Keeper for a term of ten years via lottery by the assembled Clan members. Only with the permission of both Necross and the Keeper is an outsider allowed into the Great Library. The knowledge amassed in the Library stretches from history to blood magic to lore about Golconda. Only a handful of Nosferatu Clan Elders know about its location and keep it a jealously guarded secret.
While the Tremere and other interested factions in the Great Library's contents would love to know its location, the structure itself is warded by potent thaumaturgical wards and ghouled guardians in addition to its inhabitants.
