Gimble's Prosthetics

Gimble's Prosthetics is basement business at the end of Main Street in Santa Monica, owned by Stanley Gimble. A sign on a wall indicates that the business is at the bottom of some stairs (a difficult prospect for someone in need of leg prosthetics), with a locked door barring entry. An intercom provides access to Gimble, who may or may not let people inside.

The interior has a normal waiting room, but just beyond that are bare stone walls with an assortment of prosthetics, mannequins, and boxes. Progressing further downstairs reveals what seem to be operating rooms covered in blood.

The very bottom level is a large open operating room, two cells for keeping prisoners, and Gimble's own bedroom.

In late 2004, Carson and McGee were being kept inside the cells.

Gimble's Prosthetics may have been a family business, as there was another storefront in Seattle, although it's unknown when it was active, as it appears to have been closed during 2024.

Background Information

• All dialog requires a source. Although the camera focuses on the intercom, the actual speaker of Gimble's dialog is a homeless male NPC who stands out of sight in the pier area just beyond the gate in the parking garage, near where the cops are arguing.
• The font on the Gimble's Prosthetics sign is Efflorence Antique.
• The font for Gimble's sign in VTM: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is Playfair Display Black.
• The name of this map level is sm_basement_1.
