Gilded Cage (slang)

The Kindred term for the city. Gilded, because of all the bright lights, the money, the power one can exert influence over: a cage, because the Kindred cannot wander far from the sole source of all their sustenance and pleasure: mortals. (VTR: Vampire: The Requiem Rulebook , p 25)
