Ghouls is a sourcebook for Vampire: The Requiem. It elaborates upon the roles of Ghouls in the world of vampires.

Summary

From the Onyx Path catalog:

Thralls of the Damned
Slaves to the addictive taste of vampiric Vitae, ghouls trade servitude for that heady substance. Servitude, however, damns them far more than they know, as their unnatural craving drives them to ever greater desperation and depravity. Among those known as blood slaves, there's no such thing as "just one fix."
Bound to the Night
Ghouls examines the life and lot of those who serve vampiric masters. From in-depth rules on being a ghoul, to ghoul families and systems for creating them, to Vitae-fed plants known as mandragora, this book fully explores the effects of the Blood on mortal lives.

Prologue & Introduction

The Introduction provides an overview of the ghoul phenomenon and a summary of what’s covered in the rest of the book.[1]

Chapter One: Bound in Soul and Blood

Chapter One brings you the world of ghouls in detail. You’ll find out how mortals become ghouls and how the human psyche is altered (and sometimes brutalized) by the ghoul experience. This chapter also explores how each vampiric clan and covenant tends to regard and treat ghouls. And this chapter describes variations on the ghoul phenomenon, such as ghoul families (ghouls who can reproduce, producing bloodlines of thralls), independent ghouls (ghouls without a regnant), and animal and plant ghouls.[1]

Chapter Two: Ghoul Characters and Special Rules

In Chapter Two, you’ll find rules for creating and using ghoul characters in your games. The chapter includes ghoul templates, examples of creating ghoul characters, new traits for ghouls and rules for ghoul families and creating mandrakes (plant ghouls).[1]

Chapter Three: Storytelling Ghouls

Storytellers, you’ll find Chapter Three particularly helpful. This is the chapter that advises you on the challenges and rewards of bringing ghouls into your stories. The chapter offers direction for using ghoul characters as antagonists or allies, as well as suggestions for handling player-controlled ghoul characters.[1]

Chapter Four: The Debased

Chapter Four includes sample ghoul characters of varying degrees of power and experience. Use these characters as antagonists, allies, inspiration for your own ghouls or simply as supporting cast in your Vampire chronicle.[1]

Appendix: Creating Ghoul Families

Ghoul families are the focus of the book’s Appendix. In this section you’ll find recommendations on how to design a ghoul family that matches the dramatic and logistic needs of your chronicle, as well as discussions of the many options to consider during the creation process.[1]
