The Firestorm is the effect of Pyros and Azoth upon an area, resulting in freak weather conditions — earthquakes, floods, rain of frogs, etc. They can happen for a variety of reasons, including being deliberately called down, either by Centimani for their own depraved reasons, or by Pilgrimage-abiding Prometheans to cleanse a Wasteland.
