Lucius Trebius Rufus

Lucius Trebius Rufus was the Ventrue prince of Jerusalem during the Dark Ages up until the Anarch Revolt

Biography[]

Lucius comes from a minor aristocratic family in southern Italy. During his time as a roman military commander in the Libyan frontier, he developed a philosophical interest in christianity. After a distinguished military career in the roman military, he retired to his family's estate near Herculaneum. However, two years later the nearby volcano of Mt. Vesuvius erupted, and during the ensuing chaos, his calm manner and organizational skills helped save many lives, as well as the household of a Ventrue who owned a nearby villa. During the weeks following the eruption, the Cainite and Lucius talked of duty, sacrifice, courage and meaning, and shortly thereafter he was offered the embrace by the ancient.

Lucius and his Childe, Leufruy, perished at the hands of diablerists during the Anarch Revolt.

Trivia[]

Lucius is said to be of 10th Generation, and both of his Childer are described as being of the 11th Generation in the book "Jerusalem by Night", however, this would be impossible as Lucius is also shown to have a Dominate rating of 7, meaning he must be at least of the 6th Generation. In the book "Dark Ages Europe" he's stated to be of the 6th Generation, so the original Generation given must have been a misprint.
