Calder Wendt is the Tremere Sheriff of the Twin Cities.
Biography[]
It's unknown exactly when Wendt was Embraced into Clan Tremere, though he does mention working as a "frontier physician" before becoming a vampire, as well as how he used to "pick bathing monks off the shores of Saint Anthony Falls" shortly thereafter. This implies Wendt was Embraced sometime either before or during the initial colonization of the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
Serving as a longtime member of Prince Samantha Merrain's Primogen council, Wendt was the one who initially tasked the "dirty boot" enforcer Cecily Bain with investigating the Prince's Final Death at the hands of "parties unknown". However, Wendt would attempt to twist the situation to his favor, framing Cecily for Merrain's death and calling a Blood Hunt on her in an attempt to back his future claim of Praxis over St. Paul. Fortunately, later on Bain was able to barter the identity of the actual traitor within the Court, Erin Runningbear, who had been selling information to the Anarchs in order to increase tensions and solidify the local Camarilla as a bastion of order in the Twin Cities. Satisfied with having a new scapegoat, Wendt accepted Bain's proposed deal and called off the Blood Hunt.
Wendt's Praxis, however, didn't go quite as anticipated. After barely surviving the a hunter assault on Galtier Towers, Wendt was reinstated as Sheriff of the Twin Cities by his clanmate, Justicar Ian Carfax - after being left with the warning that this was his second, and final, chance.
