Fetish Artifacts

Fetish Artifacts are ancient and powerful fetishes.

Overview

There are some truly ancient and magnificent objects of power that cannot be considered normal fetishes, even level five fetishes. These artifacts are jealously guarded by their Garou holders and are solemnly handed down to each successive generation. Sometimes, even the existence of the artifact is kept secret, as the item is hoarded away for the coming day when it must be reactivated in the battle of the Apocalypse.

List of Fetish Artifacts

• Elder Stone - Level 7, Gnosis 8 - This small rock is said to be a chip from the ancient stone at Table Rock, the mythical site where the Garou came together ages ago to form the Litany. It has powers to enforce the rulings made there, and any bearing it will be given voice in any moot. When activated, the bearer can roll Charisma + Leadership (difficulty 6) to give any command and have it obeyed by any Garou who hears it - even Black Spiral Dancers. Victims can make a resisted Willpower roll at difficulty 6. The command cannot cause a Garou to violate the Litany, however. The rock also gives + 2 to the bearer's soak Dice Pool - even against silver or radiation.
• Earth Rattle - Level 8, Gnosis 7 - This turtle shell rattle appears as nothing more than a Native American artifact - but looks are deceiving. It is in fact one of the few remaining items of power belonging to the Croatan tribe. The mere shaking of the rattle (along with a successful activation roll) is enough to cause massive earthquakes over the entire region, leveling buildings and swallowing whole streets. The number of successes gained on the activation roll determines the mileage of the quake (1-mile radius per success). Obviously, the quake will cause damage inestimable in simple dice roll terms. This rattle has not been shaken since the death of the Croatan. It is said that the rattle temporarily awakens the Turtle, totem of the Croatan, on whose back the very Earth is said to rest.

List of Fetish Artifacts Talens

• Klaital's Tears - Gnosis 8 - These small, unidentifiable gems are said to be the crystallized tears of Klaital, the first Stargazer, shed as he wept with Harano on his journey to the end of the world. They dried up and crystallized as he past them on his triumphant return from despair. Each year, when activated, will once again become salty water and exude such a feeling of despair to all nearby that everyone must make a Willpower roll, difficulty of the talen's Gnosis (8) or else fall into Harano. These tears are extremely rare, and are believed to have all been collected by the Stargazers and hidden away.
• Seed of the World Tree - Gnosis 8 - This small seed (most often oak, but sometimes of another species) is an actual seed of the World Tree, the first tree grown by Gaia and the tree which sheltered the first Children of Gaia cubs, given new life by the Mother. When carefully planted and activated, the seed will grow (over time) to be an incredibly strong and powerful tree, exuding an aura of peace and courage. All who live near it will be affected by these emotions. While still a sapling, the tree will need guarding, for minions of the Wyrm will try to uproot it, but once it has grown to 10 years in age, it can defend itself, for it has become an animate plant Kami. These seeds are so rare as to be thought of as mere myths, but it is said that they can still be sought in the far reaches of the Umbra, in areas where they have blown but can grow no roots. All Child of Gaia believe it their duty to return such seeds to be planted in the Earth.
