Festivals are very important celebrations of mortals and all Shen alike in Asia.
Holidays in Hong Kong[]
- Chinese New Year (February): werewolves in Hong Kong often celebrate with multi-day moots.
- Ching Ming (April): to celebrate their ancestors, residents clean and do maintenance on graves, and offer gifts including food, wine, and incense. Wraiths thus remembered receive extra Pathos on this day.
- Tin Hau Festival (April): celebration of the sea goddess
- Cheung Chau Bun Festival (April/May): Residents of the island offer buns as offerings to spirits and gods. Wraiths on the island gain an additional three points of Memoriam during this festival.
- Tuen Ng (June): a day of dragon boat races
- Sino-Japanese War Victory Day (August): remembrance of those who fell in the two World Wars. All Wraiths, not just Chinese ones, who fell in these wars receive one extra point of Pathos.
- Yuen Lan (August): During the Hungry Ghost Festival, Spectres roam the Yin World looking for victims. Residents of Hong Kong warn them off with offerings of food, drinks and incense.
- Mid-Autumn Festival (September): due to its Lunar associations, this holiday is a major annual moot of the Stargazers.
- Cheung Yeung (October): residents visit cemeteries or hilltops in search of good luck.
