The Exalted, also called the Chosen, are the champions of the gods, who were given power to stand up to the Primordials during the Primordial War.
Overview[]
After the war against the Primordials, the victorious Exalted were given custody of Creation at the end of the Primordial War. The prominent types of Exalted include: Abyssal, Lunar, Sidereal, Solar and Terrestrial. Less well-known types include the Alchemicals, Infernals, Exigents, Liminals, Getimians, Heroic Exalted, and Spoken.
Organization[]
In the First Age of Man, each Exalted had a role, defined in large part by the type of Exaltation received, and then by caste.
The Solar Exalted were the kings and rulers of Creation, with the Lunar Exalted as their mates and generals of the armies. The Sidereals were the advisors, and wove fate to be most prosperous to those in power. The Terrestrial Exalted were the warriors who made up the armies of the Exalted.
The Abyssal Exalted are fairly new to Creation, and thus, did not have a defined role in the First Age.
Individuals[]
Individual Exalted will gather together with other Exalts for protection or to further common goals. These gatherings are called circles, and typically number around five individuals. A perfect circle is a circle composed of five Exalts of a similar type, with one member from each caste (particularly for the Solars), and is considered a very auspicious sign.
