Erin Runningbear is the current Toreador Primogen of the Twin Cities.
Biography[]
The child of an Irish-American father and Sioux mother, Erin O'Halloran like many Native American children of the era was raised within the confines of an Indian Residential School in order to be properly "americanized" and integrated into polite society. Despite this Erin fiercely clung to her heritage, practicing her mother's native Lakota language in secret and soon developed quite the talent for learning and speaking other dialects. She proved to be a gifted student and upon entering adulthood was given the unprecedented honor of attending Wellesley College in Massachusetts, graduating with honors in the field of linguistics. Erin later returned to her birthplace of Minnesota, where she met Prince Samantha Merrain - who granted her the Embrace after hearing Erin's masterful elocution of her own native Irish-Gaelic tongue.
After becoming Kindred Erin would go exclusively by the pseudonym "Erin Runningbear" as a means of honoring her Sioux heritage. As the Prince's childe, she enjoyed a position of power and privilege within the Court of the Twin Cities from the onset. Erin would serve as her sire's Seneschal for decades, serving as the primary intermediary between the Prince and her Primogen Council. However, as the years wore on Erin would do more than simply keep her sire's itinerary - in 2021 it was discovered by Cecily Bain that she had been covertly selling information to the local Anarch Movement. It was all for the good of the Camarilla, of course: by inflaming tensions in such a manner Erin had hoped to shore up the Camarilla of the Twin Cities' reputation as a bastion of order and stability. Regardless, after Merrain's Final Death, this scheme proved to be just the smoking gun needed for Calder Wendt to declare his own Praxis.
For her "crimes" against the Ivory Tower, Erin Runningbear was captured, imprisoned, and likely would have suffered the Final Death herself had not even a few nights later the Camarilla not been assaulted by the Mortician's Army. Once the dust had settled and the hunters routed, Erin was begrudgingly kept on by Cecily Bain upon her ascension to Princedom.
