Encyclopaedia Vampirica is a sourcebook for Vampire: The Masquerade. It serves as a source of information on both famous and notorious Kindred, as well as terms and elements found in the nights of the Kindred. It can also be used as a prop in a Vampire: The Masquerade chronicle.
It is written by numerous popular vampires, including Aristotle De Laurent and Lucita de Aragón.
Summary[]
From the White Wolf catalog:
- The Roll of the Damned
- For centuries, the Kindred have hidden from the wary eyes of mortals. Enigmatic creatures, the Kindred's efforts to uphold the Masquerade have often succeeded even beyond their own desires, and few of the Damned in the modern nights even know those outside their immediate domains. But the long and terrible history of the undead is as broad and sweeping as the myriad Kindred who make it.
Content[]
- See List of Encyclopaedia Vampirica entries for a complete listing.
Each entry gives myriad information on each subject. The entries cover everything from Aaron's Feeding Razor to Zombie. The book was purportedly written by some of the Kindred themselves.
Background Information[]
- The authors of the book are characters of Vampire: The Masquerade, so it is not clear as to who actually wrote the encyclopedia.
- In its first print, the book was very well put together, with bonded covers, a red cloth bookmark, and silver leafing on the pages.
