The En are a bloodline of the Daeva originating in ancient Babylon.

"En" means "Lord" in Sumerian, and the first of these vampires was indeed the lord of Babylon. Though a pact with a type of demon called an alu, En Isiratuu gained a varied of dread powers, including the ability to commit diablerie without risking madness or torpor. In desperation, a coven of Kindred witches called up seven spirits and bound them into human form. This creature, the Edimmu, destroyed Isiratuu when he tried to diablerize it, though the consequences were more serious than anyone had expected. But the alu continue to appear to certain Daeva, usually in the form of a dream about a "dark stranger" who offers them power in exchange for a symbiotic fusion.

Like all Daeva, En have difficulty resisting temptation. Emperors also tend to be intensely focused upon their own power and advancement. As such, En frequently underestimate and misjudge others. While they can learn to fake social niceties, it doesn’t come easy for them. The untrained penalty on Social Skills is -3 rather than -1, and En characters do not benefit from 10 again on rolls Involving Empathy, Persuasion or Socialize (not including rolls to use Disciplines).

Their Alu Gifts allow Emperors to diablerize with impunity and rapidly build up a coterie of followers. If an En's Humanity falls to zero, the alu takes over, and can pursue its taste for diablerie without limits.
