Elton Dey is a Shadow Lord theurge living in Northampton and a member of the Broad Brook Sept prior to its destruction.
Biography[]
Hailing from an Afro-Caribbean family from Bristol, England, Elton was a bright and frustrated youth with a quick tongue and a dangerous temper. His mother Mathilda, who grew up in Jamaica, is an occult scholar for the Arcanum and lifestyle writer. His father Jordan, an Englishman of African and Indian descent, is a modestly successful trip hop musician and producer. They both still live in Bristol.
His mother Mathilda recognized that he might be a werewolf and managed to secure him during his First Change. Shortly afterward, he left for a city on the Rhine where Garou theurges had developed an elaborate system of ritual sorcery. There he met his future wife, Katherine Aslanian, and joined the Shadow Lord tribe like her. Broad Brook "headhunted" them both and convinced them to finish their studies in New England.
A survivor of the Battle of Graves Farm, Elton spent most of the battle imprisoned, as the Silver Fangs did not trust many of the Shadow Lords after their disastrous mishandling of the Jasper Lee Heaney trial. He escaped to witness the death of his wife. After the Battle, he fell into despair for three years, barely leaving the apartment he once shared with her, ritualistically lighting her cigarettes and leaving them to burn in front of her oil painting.
In 2024, after rejoining the other Broad Brook Garou to try and reclaim the caern, if the pack decided to attempt to shackle the Answering Tiger for their own use, the ghost of Katherine stated that in order to bring the false utopia of the Tiger into reality, Elton needed to die as he had in that unreal world. While the plan could progress without killing him, it was made clear that doing so would make the task significantly more difficult. As such, depending on the Cub's decision, Elton may have been sacrificed to bring the Tiger down.
