Domain is the term for the realms carved out by vampires as territory.
Most frequently, the term is used to refer to a Kindred city-state, or districts of one. Often, a domain encompasses a whole city, in which feeding rights are distributed and enforced by a Prince, who also ensures that the Traditions are kept. The largest domains stretch across multiple mortal cities. Within the domain, the Kindred engage in the Danse Macabre, kept in check by the Predator's Taint and rigid laws designed to interact. Most vampires never leave their chosen domains except when circumstances force them.
