- Onyx Path Publishing announces it has worked with new White Wolf IP owners Paradox Interactive to rebrand the "new World of Darkness" to avoid confusion with the classic World of Darkness. The new name is the "Chronicles of Darkness," or CofD.[1]

- The Syndicate sends a message to Alan Turing warning him to stop his "virtual reality" project, as they consider it dangerous. They warn Turing that they possess compromising photographs of him with another man, which could damage his position with the British government. Once he ceases work, they will mail him all copies of the photos.[2]
- 1953
- Captain Chuck Yeager once again sets a record by flying at two-and-a-half times the speed of sound.[3]
- 2003
- According to the few residents who managed to escape, the small town of Temple Corner, Maine has been invaded by a religious extremists. This nameless group reportedly serves a woman named "Zhyzhak, Chosen of Green Dragon" and uses a wild dogs and wolves in its rites. One escapee reported that many villagers had been fed to these apparently rabid animals. He also said he was given a message from the enigmatic Zhyzhak, one destined for a certain "Albrecht."[4]

- Gabriel Melchior, having secretly been working on Operation Genesis under Project Proteus control, is forced to become a factory for a wide variety of bacteria, viruses and prions. This causes him to grow in power, throwing off the control of his handler, Allison "Psyche" Pfaltzgraff.[6][7]
- 2118
- Newsday interviews Flight Lt. Lillian Stone, 504th Attack Craft Squadron, Federated States Space Fleet Lt. Stone describes how HQ had sent the squadron to take out some Aberrants in the Asteroid Belt. They latched onto and ripped apart the biotech Locust Cs, but were unable to penetrate the olaminium coating on the hardtech ships.[8]
