The Cupbearers of Aset (or, by their Greek name, the Cupbearers of Isis) were a priesthood of healers and diviners who sought guidance from higher powers, assembled by Thothmes III and Hatshepsut circa 1500 BC. They employed the nine Cornerstones of Creation in their Art.
Their counterparts were the Reed of Djehuty.
Dissent, rivalry and jealousy quickly fractured the two groups, and various orders preserve or pervert the secrets of the Cupbearers.
The basic philosophy of the Cupbearers will eventually rise again in the organization calling itself the Council of Nine Mystick Traditions.
