The Crest of the Horn are sub-faction camp of Children of Gaia, a rival camp conspiring to take power in the Werewolf Storytellers Handbook (Second Edition).

Overview[]

This Children of Gaia subfaction operates within a larger group, the Servants of the Unicorn, which is dedicated to resolving intertribal differences. The members of the Crest are less interested in smoothing over differences than they are in exploiting differences to wrench power away from the Silver Fangs. They keep track of the grudges that each tribe nurses against the Fangs and are building a powerful coalition to take power. They do not want to take power directly as much as they want to reject direct, autocratic rule and supplant it with a Garou Parliament. They have found allies in every tribe, including powerful Stargazer seers who have predicted that the Silver Fangs will fall by their own hand.

The Crest is very close to marshaling its allies in nearly every tribe to enforce a bloodless coup. However, some members have recently cautioned that the group needs to slow its eagerness. They suggest that too many Garou depend on a rigid hierarchy and clear chain of command, and that taking away dominance could lead to the unraveling of the fabric of Garou society. They suggest a return to Children of Gaia policy, which is to work to openly guide and influence the Silver Fangs to make better decisions. Other Horn members find this talk to be cowardice at the moment when courage is needed most.

W20 Corebook[]

This sub-faction operates within the Servants of the Unicorn. Members of the Crest pay close attention to points of contention between the tribes, hoping to exploit them in order to wrench power from the Silver Fangs and replace the ruling tribe with a Garou Parliament.

Trivia[]

  • Werewolf: The Dark Ages states that this camp during the Dark Ages primarily concerned itself with Church disputes, and its most radical members are most often the ones fighting against the influence of the Church.
