Where is the Prince?

To Hide Like a King is a Journal entry in the Intel section, unlocked by retrieving collectibles in the form of Octahedrons in VTM: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt . Collecting each part of the entry involves entering separate matches, with one Octahedron appearing on the map per match. Each Octahedron unlocks a new portion of the entry, and must be collected in order. This entry was added in Bloodhunt's 0.5 Early Access patch.

Part 1[]

Maus, we are under attack by unknown aggressors. There have been numerous casualties. The Prince is unaccounted for. We must locate him swiftly. The Hyenas are already stirring. You are the only one among us who can investigate during daytime. Prove your worth. Attached are access codes to some of our resources.
- Letter from O.

The Octahedron for Part 1 can be found on the sidewalk near an ice-cream shop in the Demolition area.

Part 2[]

The owner of the helm camera, CBlack04, enters the main hall. The Prince is standing behind a big table together with his Seneschal. From the looks of it, the Prince is trying to snake-charm another Hunter into dropping his flamethrower.
CBlack04 shoots at the Prince, who loses focus and draws a revolver, returning fire. CBlack04 is hit, probably in the left arm. CBlack04 looks toward the other Hunter, who lets out a jet of fire. There is a brief glimpse of a figure burning before the camera cuts out.
- Maus’s audio comments on Unit CBlack04’s helm camera video

The Octahedron for Part 2 can be found near a door in a barricaded area at street level on the east side of the map, in the area between the Rooftop Restaurant and the Antenna.

Part 3[]

Maus: You’re losing a lot of blood, pal. And by the taste of it, I know you are afraid.
Soldier: I won’t tell you anything, demon! So help me God!
Maus: [Rolls in a wheelchair] Klaas will help me change your mind, won’t you, Klaas?
Klaas: Yes, master. Will I get more of the good stuff? Maus: Of course, Klaas.
Soldier: What are you doing?!
Maus: Look at the screen. See this man with the revolver? What happened to him?
Soldier: I told you… I’ll never…
Maus: What happened to him?
Soldier: Escaped…
Maus: Who was this burning? Here!
Soldier: The other one… The other blankbody stepped in front of him…
Maus: So the man with the revolver was still alive the last time you saw him?
Soldier: yes.
Maus: Very good. Now, close your eyes.
- Interrogation recording

The Octahedron for Part 3 can be found on the far east side of the map, underneath the highway between the Abandoned Mall and Parking Garage areas.

Part 4[]

Lieutenant, we have reviewed your report and are still bewildered over how your unit could let this happen.
  1. How can a blankbody acquire one of our uniforms and just walk into a scene we control?
  2. Why wasn’t it screened during entry, following standard procedure?
  3. How could it be allowed to wander around the scene for almost ten minutes before anyone became suspicious enough to question it?
  4. How was your unit unable to apprehend the blankbody after it was identified?

Furthermore, we haven’t found a reasonable explanation for the amount of time it took your specialists to breach the secret passage the target escaped through. Your unit will be reassigned until we have completed a full inquiry.

- Answer to Incident report #P037

The Octahedron for Part 4 can be found in a small alley inlet to the building east of the Rudolfinum.

Part 5[]

Managed to gain entry to the Prince’s haven. Better if you don’t know the details. Found blood I was able to link to the Prince. The passage connected into our own tunnel systems, and here the trail ended. I analyzed data from our underground sensors and the Prince does not show up in any of it. My conclusion is that the Prince is most likely still hiding somewhere in Old Town. But his current location remains unknown.
- Maus’ journal entry

The Octahedron for Part 5 can be found on a balcony two buildings west of the Terrace.
