A Clade is the rough categorization of a Deviant by Divergence process and Variation type. Each Clade has two common Adaptations and a set of Variations typical for it.

Overview

Every Deviant is unique, but conspiracies have tried to categorize Deviants into easy-to-describe groups. Over time, the categories settled into the Clade terminology most Deviants and conspiracies use today.

While each Clade has its own set of Adaptations that all its members possess, the Deviants within a Clade can be widely varied in terms of Scars, Variations, and appearances.

Clades

  • Cephalist: Psychics, whose Divergence unlocked the power of the mind.
  • Chimeric: Hybrids that were merged somehow with another lifeform.
  • Coactive: Deviants Infused with intangible energy.
  • Invasive: Cyborgs implanted with foreign inanimate matter.
  • Mutant: Grotesques, whose bodies rejected the Divergence but changed all the same.
