A Charnel Cabin (also known as a haintbed, hell house, or ea-nirra), is a home that has awakened as a spirit due to some horrific event that has taken place within its walls.

Inevitably the site of some depravity or another, a haintbed is more dangerous than one might imagine of its rank, largely due to its tendency to spawn ghosts and attract pain- and madness-spirits to its grounds, all of which afford it further protection.
Hell houses often utilize their Numina to subtly reshape themselves or open gateways into the Shadow to inspire fear in their inhabitants. Attending spirits and ghosts will also frequently utilize their own powers to aid in this endeavor.
