Charms are everyday objects that carry the unfocused resonance of death, making them a special kind of memento. Most have been associated with death or have been in the possession of a person that recently died. Not every object that is a witness to death becomes a Charm. Generally, only particularly emotional, abrupt, or significant deaths create the amount of energy required to imbue an object with death, and even then not every object present is affected. Sin-Eaters are able to use these Charms for their own end by charging them with plasm. Each charms corrspondens to a threshold, but can usually be activated by any Key or they can be specialized by using a Ceremony.
