Cedric was a powerful Brujah of the Dark Ages, and the Prince of Magdeburg. After he was mysteriously destroyed in a fire, the Lasombra Norbert von Xanten and the Ventrue Lord Jurgen both contended for the city's throne. Hardestadt the Elder support ensured Jurgen's victory, and the city became part of the Fiefs of the Black Cross.
