Bloody Nick is an Unseelie Redcap in the Kingdom of Pacifica.
Overview[]
Bloody Nick is the leader of a redcap gang in California. He has a tendency to hold a grudge. Like most Unseelie redcaps, he considers himself a "proper" redcap, and he sees Seelie members of their kith, like Mumpoker, as a personal insult. Nick tried to blame Mumpoker, or Mug, for a murder he himself had committed. Lady Amelia foiled his plot and the villainous redcap cursed her with a sickness for her trouble. This led to Mumpoker tracking him down in the Dreaming and being tricked into leaving the safety of the trod to be lost in the Dreaming, brought about by Nick's crew. This did not make Nick happy. He wanted to make Mug suffer.
When Mug's friends followed them all into the Dreaming, Nick and his cronies attacked their airship on clurgaughs, crashing them in the Far Dreaming. There, reveling in the Augmen, Nick and his crew chained Sven, Dmitri, Magda, and Mailanka to trees and ate their boggan friend, Walter. Having a personal hatred of the troll Sven, Nick taunted him with Walter's heart, claiming he would let the others go (leaving Sven to be killed) if Sven ate the heart. Sven is the one responsible for cleaving away part of Nick's face.
Sven managed to escape his chains as he felt the effects of the Augmen and killed half of Nick's crew before they killed him and ran, Nick with them.

Nick is a typical redcap but part of the skin of his face has been cleaved away, leaving a permanently bloody, musclely, wreck on one side of his face.
