Blood is a set of affinity Gifts for Forsaken that focuses on blood as a link towards violence and Rage. Predatory animal-spirits, especially wolverines and sharks, teach these Gifts.
First Edition[]
Powers[]
- Blood Divination: This Gift allows the user to see possible knots in the future in the fall of a few drops of blood. The visions that the Gift provides a werewolf are glimpses of a place and time clouded in symbolism, and she may not know what she has seen until she encounters it. The character must spill blood in order to use this Gift, though a few drops from a self-inflicted cut will work.
- Shark's Scent: A werewolf with this Gift can follow a blood scent trail in the air.
- Clot: Werewolves who possess this Gift can cause any bleeding wound to clot instantly, even if the target is hemophilic or bleeding from an artery.
- Scent Weakness: This Gift identifies a target's weakness from the scent of his blood.
- Sacrifice: Cutting herself with her own claws, the werewolf gives up a measure of her own blood to the spirits. In return for her self-sacrifice, the spirits imbue her with a measure of their power, imbuing her with Essence. This is a dangerous Gift, as it make the werewolf physically weaker - but those who think that an Uratha can only be physically dangerous do not understand their opponents.
Second Edition[]
In Second Edition, this set of Affinity Gifts becomes a Tribal Gift set for the Ivory Claws.
Powers[]
- Seep (Cunning): This Facet bathes the prey in a nightmare of blood.
- Purge (Glory): This Facet cleanses the body of foulness and corruption. Blood wells up from the eyes and flesh spasms open to force out poisons, parasites and alien matter.
- Bind (Honor): Blood calls out to blood, and the hunter follows.
- Bleed (Purity): The heart of the hunt is the spilling of blood, a crimson blossom marking the predator's triumph.
- Clot (Wisdom): This Facet staunches the flow of blood and hastens the mending of ruined flesh.
