Beomedian Khulud, also known simply the Vulture, is the vampiric overlord over the criminal scene in Cairo.
Biography[]
Originally from Sicily, Beomedian grew up as the son of a Turkish middle-class merchant. By the age of 14, he had become plagued by violent outbursts and fits of paranoia. Convinced that he was being poisoned, he eventually came to believe that his parents were trying to kill him. As his first attempt to murder them failed, they arranged him to be transported into an insane asylum. However, he managed to escape after seventeen years and fled to Tunis.
There, he became a figure in the black market, quickly assembling groups of mercenaries that should protect him from the plots of his rivals. His future sire, Hibah, grew interested in him after he interrupted several French auction houses. When she came to him to propose the Embrace, Beomedian accused her of being an assassin sent by his parents, and after a heated argument, Hibah succumbed to Frenzy and nearly killed Beomedian. Regretful, she gave him the Embrace, believing that he was her best chance to destabilize the hold of the European Cainites over North Africa.
After five years they were both called back to Alamut. Hibah was sent back to Tunis, while Beomedian stayed and completed his training as a full member of the Clan. After that, in 1899, he was sent to Egypt to aid his brethren there. Thanks to his clanmate Antara's vigil against the Setites, Beomedian was able to exert a great deal of influence over the underworld of Cairo. He also plans to diablerize the local Toreador leader, Andres LeCompte, and has begun to exchange favors with the local Ventrue.
Further, he has begun to train his ghûls in the ways of raid attacks against the havens of his many enemies, real and imagined.
