Bela is one of the inhabitants of the former Anarch Free States. As a Malkavian, he believes himself firmly to be Count Dracula, King of all Vampires, and is quite surprised (and enraged) when other vampires refuse to submit to him. He resided in Los Angeles, roaming old film sets, remembering the good old days.
Biography[]
In his few lucid moments, Bela believes to remember a man who was a fan and impersonator of Bela Lugosi, the actor who played Dracula in the film from 1931. There, he met someone, who had dressed up like a vampire, complete with Hungarian accent and a long cape, who bowed before him and proclaimed him to be the "Prince of Darkness". Offering him eternal life, the vampire embraced Bela, shattering his sanity.
Bela wanders around the old filmsets (mumbling over "the good, old times") and is only dimly aware where he is. Believing all other vampires to be his progeny, he is quite surprised and insulted if someone doesn't treat him with respect. Although he is often ridiculed by any sane vampire, he is often seen as a symbol of Los Angeles, as any Prince in any other city had him slain long ago as a threat to the Masquerade. If he can be persuaded to follow a specific course, the Count can become a valuable ally.
Furthermore, he has developed all Disciplines the original Dracula used within the films.
