Bardo was the signature Discipline practiced by the Children of Osiris, handed down to them by the Egyptian deity Osiris.

Overview[]

Bardo: A human soul between the stages of after-death and rebirth in Tibetan thought.

Bardo requires rigid asceticism and strict self-discipline and meditation. A Cainite cannot practice levels of this Discipline higher than their Humanity rating. Although it teaches control over certain aspects of the undead condition, the Discipline of Bardo is not related to the mystical state of Golconda; while the Golconda is a realization and acceptance of the vampiric nature, Bardo is based in denial. The Children of Osiris deny the Beast within them by intensely concentrating on their Humanity and their state of death. Thus, if one of the Children was to give up their meditations and discipline, they would be once again assailed by their Beast.
