Banana Split is an intersex metis Ahroun of the Bone Gnawer tribe who appears in both versions of the Rage card game. Banana Split returned in the To War! Fan-Set as part of a Kickstarter Backer reward from the Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniversary Edition Kickstarter.
Biography[]
Banana Split was fortunate enough to be born into the Bone Gnawers tribe, which, while regarding him as an outsider due to his metis heritage, treated him better than other tribes would have. His mentor, an old Bone Gnawer named Wyrm Eater, took Banana Split in when the young Garou's parents were killed while fighting the Wyrm. The youth proved to be very intelligent and cunning and possessed of a natural wit that proved to be as effective a weapon as his claws. In spite of being metis, Banana Split became well liked by the members of his sept and was expected to do well in his Rite of Passage.
When puberty struck, and Banana Split began to develop breasts, more than a few jokes were made at his expense. In fact, he initiated many, unsettling those who sought to mock his metis nature. Similar jokes also proved effective in combat. More than one opponent has been caught off guard or distracted by Banana Split's self-deprecating remarks.
Banana Split performed even better than expected in his Rite of passage and assumed a vital role in his mixed-tribe pack. He returned a wiser, more cunning Garou, and the elders of his sept now watch him closely, expecting that he may someday lead a pack, if not an entire sept, in battle against the Wyrm. When asked about Banana Split, Mother Larissa merely laughs softly and says, "Yes, yes; he is one to be watched now, isn't he?"
