Autolycus is an Unseelie Weasel Pooka Childling and member of the Sons of Liberty.
Overview[]
This pooka childling made his entrance at The Fool's Gambit two years ago. He walked in cheerfully, announced he was kithain, and said he was there to have some fun. He wouldn't speak about where he came from but explained he had decided to settle on the streets of Boston. He wouldn't even give his name, so John McKroan dubbed him Autolycus, from Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale.
Autolycus immediately took a liking to Kerem and he often brings the grump small gifts, especially any unique piece of wood he comes across. The two quickly became inseparable and are commonly seen in the freehold working together on some project or another. Kerem and Margaret Murphy soon took on the role of surrogate parents to the boy and have become familiar with his odd schedule.
A year ago, Autolycus decided that he wished to join the Sons of Liberty, arguing that his street smarts would be a valuable asset, and he wanted to do whatever could help the cause. Margaret wasn't certain but allowed it. Since then, he has proved true to his word. He has an uncanny knack for discovering Duke Tymon's secrets and has become a reliable source of information. His past is still a mystery to his surrogate parents.
The truth is that, besides having a good ear, Autolycus discovered a system of secret passages that run through the Duke's estate in Cambridge. These are invaluable to his spying endeavors. He was but a small child when he saw Tymon brutally beat his commoner mother. She had failed to perform up to his standards and he lashed her with a whip. His mother ran away shortly after, leaving her son. Within months he became hardened to the duke's iron-fisted rule and vowed to help bring about his demise. He spent several years searching for the one person he thought could help: Margaret. His mother has told him stories about her valiant contributions in the Accordance War. In the Sons of Liberty, he has found the family he lost because of Tymon.
Personal[]
Autolycus observes everything closely; after all, he never knows when he might be able to use that information. He has a quick wit and never misses a chance to play a practical joke. His ultimate goal is to bring about Duke Tymon's demise and so avenge his mother.

Autolycus dresses in rags, even if given the chance to dress better. He is perpetually in a good mood, or at least gives that impression. He has an impish face and resembles a weasel in his fae mien.
