- Iteration X sends a message to the other Conventions warning them about the Virtual Adepts' interest in science fiction.[1]
- 1999
- Dominic LeTarry thinks sifu might be right, and he might have to go back and talk to him. After being jumped by four muggers, LeTarry somehow just knew exactly who was going to move and in what order, so instinct took over. He took out three in as many seconds, and then punched the last guy a distance of 20 feet. It was only afterwards he realized he had literally dodged a bullet.[2]
- 2003
- The marine biology research ship Tethys today in the Falkland Islands recorded the passage of what appears to be a southward migration of sharks of at least five separate species. Scientists aboard the Tethys commented that the migration was unexplainable by current studies of shark behavior, and the ship changed course to follow the migration and observe.[3]

- On "N! Sight with Parker Stevenson," Stevenson interviews Luther Fleming, a DeVries contractor. He recounts how he felt he had to break up with his baseline fiancee, Julia, because he didn't want to accidentally cripple or kill her if he loses his temper.[4]
