In the new system introduced in The God-Machine Chronicle and Chronicles of Darkness Revised, an Aspiration is the goal of the character for the game. If the game consists of a single session, the aspiration should be appropriate (for example, to achieve a promotion), while longer chronicles may require a more grand approach (for example, to take over the company). Each character has three aspirations.
Aspirations should summarize the primary drive of the character and further customize them independently from any plots of the Storyteller. They can also be used to show what kind of story players want to be told.
