Ashley Nin is a Child of Gaia galliard living in the Pioneer Valley and a member of the Broad Brook Sept prior to its destruction.
Biography[]
Nin is one of the rare wolf-born Garou. Originally from the Wolf Hollow sanctuary in Ipswich, MA, she was discovered by Broad Brook Kinseekers just before her First Change. She was inducted into the Children of Gaia by Martha Mendez, the only other member of that tribe at the sept at that time. She was also mentored by Holds-the-Dawn, who gave her the name Ashley Nin (after Anaïs Nin) and taught her to play a wide variety of instruments.
After the Battle of Graves Farm, she was so traumatized that she lost the Wolf entirely and did not Change for three years. In that time, she joined the heavy metal band Saint Homunculus and toured regularly, becoming an excellent guitarist and making herself known among crowds like Hog Throne.
During one show at Hog Throne, Saint Homunculus was interrupted by the resurgent Broad Brook Garou, who came to recruit her back to the cause of Gaia at the same time as Heinrik's pack arrived to sabotage the show. Depending on player choice, the Broad Brook Garou either allowed the Fenrir to commit an arson attack in the middle of the show, the stress of which kickstarted Nin's Rage and made her regain the Wolf and chase the Fenrir out of the burning Hog Throne. Otherwise, after the show was protected by the Broad Brook Garou, they performed a Rite in which Nin was nearly killed by a Fenrir collaborator and Changed to save her own life. In either case, she formally joined the new pack.
Nin still plays with Saint Homunculus and subs in as a guitarist for other local bands when not working with the rest of her pack to heal the region. She is notable among her packmates for being willing to compact with Whippoorwill, gaining his Song of the Moonpath Gift in exchange for slaying the bane Tekenjat.
