Artemisia was a Cappadocian Lamia of the Roman period. She fell in love with the mortal scholar and cultist Menippus, exchanging and merging Gnostic lore with Cainite principles. Eventually, the Cappadocians took notice of this new cult, and this Gnostic movement would come to evolve by seeing Cainites as creatures of higher spirituality. After centuries, this resulted in the Cainite Heresy, formed from Artemisia and Menippus' basis.
